Once you have complete SERVER registration following the simple steps described in our manual, you
can share the same database via your on board LAN network.
Before you run CLIENT(s) setup provided you need the following information available :
1.
IP ADDRESS OF THE COMPUTER THAT YOU HAVE INSTALL AND REGISTER OUR
SERVER VERSION.
Depending the version of windows installed may be different the steps to be followed for finding required
IP address.
Windows XP :
•
On the Start Menu, click
Control Panel.
•
In the Control Panel window, click on
Network and Internet Connections.
•
Click on the Network Connections icon.
•
Double-click the local area connection and select Support tab.
Windows 7 :
•
Open Network Connections by clicking the Start button , and then clicking Control Panel. In the
search box, type adapter, and then, under Network and Sharing Center, click View network
connections.
•
Select an active network connection, and then, in the toolbar, click View status of this
connection. (You might need to click the chevron to find this command.)
•
Click Details.
•
Your computer's IP address appears in the Value column, next to IPv4 Address.
For our Example we assume that Computer’s IP address where SERVER Setup is installed is
192.168.1.123
Furthermore 9090 port exception must be add to SERVER windows firewall.
If you are not sure how to add the exception please de-activate windows firewall until you complete the
CLIENT(s) setup.
2.
Please RUN
CLIENT setup version to your workstations connected to same LAN with SERVER
computer.
KINDLY WHEN YOU RUN CLIENT SETUP :
Ensure that CrewExpress Software is running on SERVER computer .
When CLIENT installation is completed the client mode will ask you to
enter the IP ADDRESS of your SERVER PC and click connect .
